I´m Baaaack!

Filed under: Uncategorized — athomemom @ 2:55 pm

Alright, I admit it, I´ve been neglecting this blog dreadfully while focusing on getting At Home Mom off the ground. Now that it is going well, I have decided that I really need to get back into the loop with my other blogs. For now, they will stay here on WordPress, with the option of moving them over to a hosted domain in the future!

So, go ahead and check back here often because I will be posting regularily again. Sorry for the delay!

Advantages of Writing for Associated Content

Filed under: Uncategorized — athomemom @ 2:41 pm

If you enjoy writing short, informative articles, you might be just the person that Associated Content is looking for! This website is rapidly becoming very popular and it is indexed on all the search engines, making it a great place to get some exposure for your writing.

Unfortunately, you can only get paid for your articles if you are a resident of the United States, but anyone elsewhere is welcome to use the site as a promotional tool. And it is a good one! Once your article is accepted, it will quickly be spidered by major search engines like Google and Yahoo and anyone reading the article can jump back to your profile page to learn more about you. This would be a good place to list your writing website URL for potential clients (if you don´t have one yet, check out my article on Why Every Writer Needs a Website.

Apart from using Associated Content as your own personal promo tool, you can earn money if you live in the States. The pay isn´t great, ($3-$50 usually) but you have no limits on the number of articles that you can write and it can be a good way to get a bit of extra cash. Also, they have just implemented a new program that allows you to earn extra money depending on how many page views you receive. This is above and beyond the initial article payment, so it is really a nice bonus!

Associated Content also features monthly contests and writing assignments. If you complete articles on the required topic, you will automatically get paid more. This is a nice bonus. You also earn on your referrals, as they have a very extensive referral plan, including a party plan!

Most articles are accepted within the two week revision period. Once your article is accepted, you will be sent a monetary offer which you can accept or decline. If you accept, it will usually be about a week before your money is deposited into your PayPal account. I recommend getting in on this program before it gets too big and they start rejecting a higher percentage of the articles!

Welcome, Freelance Writers!

Filed under: Uncategorized — athomemom @ 8:14 pm

If you are one of many writers struggling to make it in the world of online freelancing, welcome to you. This blog has been designed specifically for freelance writers who are attempting to make it in the internet world.

It is not an easy task, but let´s face it, most of us aren´t in this just for the money. Heck, if we wanted to get paid well for working, bartending would probably do the trick! It would certainly pay more than some of the early assignments that I took on! 🙂

Although it is a challenge to work as a freelance writer, it is a very rewarding job as well. So here on this blog, you will find tips and tricks to help you as well as articles on the writing life. I also plan to add jobs later on, so you can pop in here every day and see what the latest jobs are. Please keep checking back!
